Flying long-haul economy can be a test of patience, posture and personal boundaries. When it comes to American Airlines Main Cabin Extra on an international flight, the promise is simple: more legroom, complimentary drinks and a slightly elevated experience with an insane price tag. American Airlines is unarguably one of the worst ways to fly with an extremely poor passenger experience down the line. And frankly, I would have never paid 160 euros for a seat in Main Cabin Extra, but luckily, most oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members get this seat for free.

London Heathrow is one of the world’s most important aviation hubs, and Terminal 3 is home to several premium oneworld lounges. Among them is the British Airways First Class Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3, a space designed for the airline’s most premium passengers. In this review, we take a closer look at the lounge’s location, design, dining, and overall experience to see how it compares with other First Class lounges at Heathrow.

Singapore Changi Airport is regularly ranked among the world’s best travel hubs, and one of the ways it elevates the passenger experience is through its Early Check-In facility located at Jewel Changi Airport. Jewel itself isn’t just any part of the airport — it’s a sprawling entertainment, retail, and lifestyle complex seamlessly connected to Changi’s terminals, meaning your check-in experience can begin in a vibrant, relaxed environment long before you step into the departure hall.
(more…)Swissport Horizon Lounge at Geneva Airport is So Sad
The Swissport Horizon Lounge at Geneva Airport is one of the first lounges passengers encounter after clearing security, but unfortunately, convenience is where most of its advantages end. Located airside, travelers simply need to follow the clearly marked lounge signage, and this will be the first lounge they reach along the route. While its easy accessibility may appeal to passengers with limited time before departure, the overall experience inside the lounge leaves much to be desired and falls short of what many travelers expect from an airport lounge in a major European hub like Geneva.
(more…)British Airways Lounge at Milan Linate Airport is So Nice!
The British Airways Lounge at Milan Linate Airport is one of those airport spaces that quietly exceeds expectations. Located in a non-hub airport and serving Schengen departures, it delivers a level of comfort, food quality, and overall atmosphere that many frequent travelers would not necessarily anticipate. For passengers flying British Airways or holding eligible oneworld status, this lounge offers a calm and well-designed place to relax before departure.
(more…)Sala Pau Lounge in Barcelona: Stylish but Ultimately Quite Basic
Sala Pau lounge in Barcelona Airport is a place that initially promises more than it ultimately delivers. While it presents itself as a refined and somewhat exclusive space, the overall experience feels fairly basic once you spend some time inside. The lounge does look nice and is clearly kept clean, but beyond its appearance, there is little that truly stands out. For travelers expecting a more premium or well-rounded airport lounge experience, Sala Pau may feel underwhelming.
(more…)China Eastern Domestic Lounge in Shenzhen: What a Great Lounge!
When visiting an airline lounge that is labeled as domestic and located outside a flagship hub, expectations are usually kept deliberately low. That was very much the case with China Eastern Domestic VIP Lounge 2 in Shenzhen Airport. I did not anticipate anything remarkable, assuming it would be a functional but uninspiring space designed mainly to move passengers through efficiently. Instead, the experience turned out to be a genuinely pleasant surprise. This domestic lounge exceeded my expectations in several areas, from design to comfort and catering, and left a far stronger impression than many international lounges I have visited elsewhere.
(more…)Plaza Premium Lounge Budapest Review: A Disappointment
Airport lounges are supposed to offer a calm, comfortable escape from the chaos of the terminal, especially when you are paying for access. Unfortunately, the Plaza Premium Lounge at Budapest Airport manages to miss that mark almost entirely. Located in the non-Schengen area, this lounge may sound promising on paper, but the actual experience is far from premium. This review covers the location, atmosphere, food, drinks and overall value of the Plaza Premium Lounge in Budapest, based on firsthand experience.
(more…)American Airlines Flagship Lounge Miami Review: A Surprisingly Solid Experience
American Airlines is, without exaggeration, one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. Over the years, I have repeatedly encountered staff who come across as either shockingly incompetent or openly arrogant, sometimes managing to be both at the same time. Flying with American has never felt welcoming, relaxed or customer-focused, and I usually approach any interaction with the airline expecting frustration rather than comfort. With that background in mind, my expectations for the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Miami were extremely low. I was prepared for yet another disappointing experience tied to the brand, but surprisingly, the Flagship Lounge managed to partially redeem what is otherwise a consistently poor overall impression of American Airlines.
(more…)Review: Japan Airlines Diamond Premier Lounge in Fukuoka
Japan Airlines markets its top-tier domestic lounge experience under the “Diamond Premier” name, a label that suggests exclusivity and polish. At Fukuoka Airport, however, the Diamond Premier Lounge continues a familiar pattern seen across JAL’s domestic First Class lounges: efficient, quiet, and impeccably orderly, yet profoundly underwhelming for something positioned at the top of the hierarchy.
